Here are some pictures kindly forwarded to me by Mike Stone. They
clearly show how different the site and the track
layout was. The photos were taken some time in the 80's. If anyone knows
when, I'd love to hear from them so I can add a little more information
about the event.
The next two photo's were sent in by Kevin Ranscombe. Kevin thinks the photo's are from NBMXA regionals. The first one from 1983 shows Steve Gower in 1st place, Kevin
2nd and Shaun Gale (plate 258) in 3rd.
This photo from 1985 shows Kevin in 1st place. You will notice the addition of
the small doubles behind the large built up tabletop.

Sean Stiddard wrote : I used to race at the Bournemouth track regularly
during the early 1980's. I live in Bristol and used to race in the South
Central BMX Region. The following picture is of me racing at the track
in 1985. The picture does not really show the track as such but it is a
picture of the 1st berm. I am the GT rider, number 19 is David Morris,
and the Suzuki rider just in picture is Kevin Hayes.
