2nd Feb 2010
  • Well done to our club members who travelled to Caen representing Bournemouth Raceway. The standard of racing was unbelievable, even some of the moto's were as tough as some of our National finals!
  • Nevertheless our national No1 Jon Moore won his 40+ age group in style and flew the flag for club and country.
  • Lewis Lacey, Nate dog Routledge and Jack Smallpiece got out of the moto's  in style. Jordy Hatcher was riding well until a crash which dashed his chances of going further.
2nd Jan 2010
  • To shake off all the Xmas and New Year cheer's open gate practice will be held at the track Sun 3rd Jan 10.30-12.00, small charge as normal.
  • In the next few day's a date will be fixed for our club AGM. As some of you will know Bournemouth club was not successful in its application to hold a National event this year. One of the reasons given was that it was felt that there were too few active members on our committee and that all the work was being done by just a few. We hope to address this and we will be shortly sending out a letter to all members/parents to encourage a more positive club structure, to move forward in 2010. Some great work was carried out at the track last year, and the club was voted second best National event 2009.  We hope to continue this good work and replicate the great results and achievements of 2009.

We also have no less than six South region Champs. Kobi Joyce, Jordan Hatcher, Jack Smallpiece, Pete Warner, Bernie Schael and Lewis Lacey. There were also some great rides  from some other Bournemouth riders,Elliott Pateman 4th in the final, Harry Fripp, Jon Moore (brave boy) in 17+ Payback giving James Chadwick a run for his money! Charles and the other Bournemouth Posse.
  • The Club sends healing vibes to Jacob Witney and Jack Taylor who both have their arms in plaster!  Hope to see you back on your bikes soon.
6th Sept 2009
  • Just to let you know, photo's from our Bournemouth regional and National now up on our photo's section. Sorry for delay! Also well done to all the Bournemouth riders who travelled to Herne Bay last Sunday. Again some great reults for our club. I know that we have had a good year and hope to post shortly both the national and regional rankings for the club.
1st Sept 2009
  • Our race night planned for tommorow has had to be cancelled. Our start gate has had to go off for repair, too much use over the weekend. We will keep you posted about a possible new date. Sorry about that but beyond our control.
  • A few of us will still be going to the track for a session if you want to join us.
1st Sept 2009
  • Well what can I say about the recent Regional and National racing at Bournemouth. A lot of work was carried out for the recent events, including the laying of 40 tonnes of tarmac for our latest first berm only to discover that we had been provided with the wrong material !! Another 20 tonnes of the right stuff was layed just two days before the National. You now have a few committee members who are experienced in the art of tarmac laying!
  • Both events went well and the National over the bank holiday weekend has been described as the best Nnational of the year. Well done and thankyou to all who helped over the two weekends.
  • Our riders also did us proud. Jon Moore retained his national No1 ranking despite a huge crash in one of the finals.
  • Jumpin Jordy Gordy Hatcher also pulled off some style winning all of his race's over the weekend dominating the 12yr expert age group. He also claimed National No1 ranking by only one point, giving the club two National champions. Well done to you both.
  • Koby Joyce took two more good national wins in the series showing his back wheel to all the other riders.
  • Bernie Schaale had a national win on his home track, although he finished the second final with broken cranks.
  • Elliot Pateman again made a national final in style showing some good moves.
  • James Chadwick norrowly missed a win on the first day, and provided a neat 360 in his second final!
  • Jacob Witney took a tumble but showed that he is quickly catching up with the others in his group. Jack Smallpiece (loads of style), Pete Warner, Reece Trotter and Jack Taylor (on his new Intense) all rode well proving that the regular sessions at Bournemouth are paying off. Photo's of the event are just being sorted and will be posted soon.
  • Again a huge thankyou to everyone who helped, especially Geoff our chairman who spent days down at the track, seeing everyone in and everyone out. Even on his birthday he was rodding sewage drains to keep the campers happy. You're a star Geoff.

  • Track work this weekend
  • This weekend the track will be closed as preparations are made for next weekends Regional and the following weekends big National. As you can't ride, come on down and give a hand! Negotiations have been ongoing for a while to try and get the first berm tarmaced before our Regional, next weekend. Our limited funds have meant that this has not been as straight forward as we would have liked. The good news is that it is now very likely that we will get it done in time for the National in two weeks time. Still unlikely before the Regional, but we live in hope!
10th Aug 2009

10th Aug 2009
  • Manchester National Round 7 & 8 2009
  • The hard core from Bournemouth made the horrendous journey to Manchester over the weekend to compete in rounds 7 & 8 of the National series. Some super rides from our Bournemouth crew Jon Moore keeping up with his good performances and smoooothe!! technique to takes wins on both days.
  • James Chadwick left carnage in his wake to take a National win on the Saturday.  Well done Chad!
  • Jumpin' Jordy Hatcher raced well on both days to pull off second in his final on each day.  Koby Joyce battled well reaching the finals on both days taking 3rd place in each.  Elliott Pateman faced some tough races and was very unfortunate not to make the final on the Sunday having done everything right. Jack Smallpiece in a tough group raced particularly well on the Sunday and was placed well in the Semis.  All in all a good performance by the Bournemouth club members keeping our rankings high in lots of different ages groups.

Nice to see Elliott Pateman back to his old form, making the A final both day's. Jordan Hatcher was unlucky in both his A finals with a puncture and a fall when he was doing well. • Happy 2009 to all our Bournemouth members new and old.
  • A small group of Bournemouth riders took a trip to Peckham yesterday to take part in Round 3 of  the South Region Winter series. This was the first ever regional race held at the six lane Peckham track. The day was a great success and Peckham had obviously worked hard to produce a good meeting. Jon Moor kept up his good form and won his final in the 40+, Pete Warner also came 1st  in his final showing the rest his Bournemouth bot as he led the way. Jack Smallpiece had a great final and took revenge on his rival who had pipped him earlier in the moto's. Zak showed that his time down the track is paying off. Jordan Hatcher had a couple of wins in his moto's and a good third in his final. Coby Joyce was against some older guy's in his races but showed some good riding on his shiney new Crupi , i'm surre he will get them back! Rys Trotter came a croper which sadly cost him a place in his final, which is a shame as he has been riding well lately.   All in all Bournemouth made their mark in Peckham and it was good to hear the club riders being mentioned on the mike as they did so well.
9th December 2008
  • The 1st round of the South Region winter series held at Bournemouth was a great success. Bournemouth riders rode well and lots of our riders finished high in the rankings. The track rode well and was a credit to the hard work put into it. The day ran well with lots of people chipping in to ensure all ran smoothly. It was great to see so many new riders taking part and will only help to make sure Bournemouth has a great 2009.
  • Last Sunday saw a group of Bourmemouth riders travel to Bad BMX Dagenham to compete in round 2 of the series. All riders did Bournemouth proud . Coby Joyce had a tough battle coming 1st or 2nd in all his races. Reece Trotter cleaned up with wins in all his motos and final, his sister Shanese claiming 2nd in all of her races. Jordan Hatcher rode well coming in the top 3 in all of his races and a close 2nd to Kye White in one of them. Pete Warner rode brilliantly claiming great wins in his races, he's looking smooth and the training is obviously paying off. Zak Pollard made a big impression taking at least one win. One of the newcomers Daisy had a great day riding well and is taking some hints from her dad, who apparantly knows his way around a BMX track!
  • There will be no training this Sunday as it is Gosports open day and we don't want to detract from their great day. There will probably be a few down the track for a bit of unofficial training should anyone wish. We hope to have a training session before Xmas, so watch this space.
23rd Nov 2008

The Bodman bros who again raced really well all day. Natalie who despite a big fall in her first ever moto came back and won her final after getting involved in a huge pile up. Jodi a visitor to the track had to be air lifted to hospital as a result of the crash. I am pleased to report that her injuries were not serious and she will be OK. Recent Track work

  • Last weekend saw some very hard work by club members and volunteers down at the track.  Despite problems with diggers and dumpers everyone got stuck in with shovels and wheelbarrows and created some finishing touches to some of the jumps and upgraded others. The track is really riding well now and all the sweat and toil paid off. This is all good preparation for a Bournemouth National next year!  Thanks to everyone young and old who came down and worked so hard.
27th May 2008
  • Don't forget Wednesday 4th June is Round 2 of the Bournemouth Club summer series. Lets see some of you riders who watched Round 1 join in for some racing.
13th May 2008
  • A good crowd made the trip to Herne Bay for round 3 of the South Regional championships, the riders and followers were greeted By sunny skies, 180 fellow competitors and a brand new 7, YES seven straights track lined the way with some 20 jumps.
  • Jordan Hatcher and Elliot Pateman battled well all day in the 10's, in a very talented class with all the opposition being respected national standard riders..both demonstrated some great overtaking manoeuvres in all 4 races.
  • Elliot came home in dominant style eventually winning all 4 of his races with his wingman Jordan plucking a fourth after a plucky ride in the final took him from last to 3rd.
  • 'Not so fat' Zak made an impressive 2nd race appearance and 'pumped' his way to a seventh in the over 15 novices, plenty of improvements will come when he adds that BMX critical factor "pedalling" !
  • Jack Smallpiece , still a little short on stamina and power, smoooooothed his way to a 2nd in the 15's experts.
  • The old dodgers showed the way with Bernie Schale and Jon Moore both winning their respective classes..
  • Roll on next week and Nationals rounds 4 and 5 at Mansfield

Coaches Corner

  • Well the dust of round 3 of the national series has settled
After each race we will try and give our (the coaches) take on most of the riders efforts you may not always like it, you may not always agree, but as my ol nanna Moore use to say "deal with it" that and "will you stop eating all the custard creams !"
  • Coby 'factory' Joyce : A main 6th, couldn't ask for more in only 3rd national ,
  • Rhys 'legs as fast as his gob' Trotter : A main , first of the season and first of many we hope, well done, work on pumping and first ten metres and you'll be top 4 in no time.
  • Ben 'power' Draper:A main 5th , very good solid result and where he should be, maybe work on settling down a bit and riding smoothly and defiantly can improve your pumping...the first 15 mins at the track each time NO jumps just Pump.
  • Elliot 'natural' Pateman : 4th B final, showed real class too get the win in his last moto after a crash in his first to qualify, got a feeling Elliot will be gutted he didn't make the A but no he will dig in and get there at Mansfield, still room for first straight improvement..fancy a few 12 crank sprints once or twice a week??
  • Jordan 'The Jumper' Hatcher - if grit determination and guts were reward then Jordan will soon be right up there, racing in his first year of nationals, against older guys. Jordan was very unlucky not to qualify, but the training & early morning rides with the 'Old bill' on his tail are definitely paying dividends and IF Jordan keeps these up Iwill eat my gloves if he doesn't make an A or B final this year.
  • Jack 'skills' Smallpiece - smoothed his way to a fifth in the A main at his first national of the year, knows there is a top 4 breakaway of strong fit riders in this age group, does he have the determination and will to do the work which will lift him up there??, or will he just be another rider who didnt quite fulfil his talent ...only he knows!!??
  • Tom 'smooth as his Dads Gloss' Hall - unluckiest rider of the day crashes, punctures, pedals and people throwing themselves off in front of him, 7th in B final after trying to park his bike on a fallen rider. Tom almost identically to Jack could make the leap to the top echelons of this class with a little work, but still preferring a good chinwag with his chum to a few full track laps.
  • Harvey 'as fast as anyone...after the gate' Almack - one his B final in his signature smooth style, but if he would get in the garage with Uncle Chad it would be the A !!
  • Chad - A main 19+,second, arguably his best national result, and at last showing us what we have know he is capable of , a bit of hard work in his new garage facility is showing, great to see him competing on the 3rd and 4th straights..long may it continue
  • Shane 'welsh grit' Trotter - 3rd in 30-39 , again I reckon his best national result cant knock that..
  • For those who love their stats we are sitting 12 out of 50 in the club points, with Decoy and Peckham sitting pretty on the top, both I and Lewis firmly believe in the club we have the talent to match and top these....see you at coaching and training next tuesday ???

28th April 208
